The Terminal Operations Conference & Exhibition for Asia took place from March 3 – 5, 2009. Focus for Conductix-Wampfler has been the electrification of RTG cranes. The E-RTG^TM conversion is made possible with either the use of a Motorized Cable Reel System or a Conductor Bar System.

During the three days at the booth as well as during a workshop and a presentation for TOC delegates Conductix-Wampfler presented an advancement of the conductor bar solution to the audience: the new “Drive-In” solution for E-RTG^TM conductor bar applications.



With this new solution the plugging process to connect the RTG to the current collector trolley is no longer necessary. The system automatically engages into the steel structure and conductor bars. The new system will be a huge benefit for terminal operators in respect of efficiency and energy savings of their terminals.
